The opportunity
As a Materials and Logistics Coordinator, you’ll support the delivery of cyclical and ad hoc Maintenance activities within Mechanical services. You’ll focus on the essential logistics, site management, and stock /asset management. Your role includes accountabilityas the primary liaison for equipment assurance checks. Alongside the above, you’ll coordinate onsite lifting plans and activities, coordinate transportation and collections/deliveries of heaters, implementation of assets management systems, and daily orderingand preparing materials for site activities.

Key accountabilities
- Accountable for the Mechanical operational areas and the day-to-day planning.
- Coordinating all transportation and lifting activities to support stripping down heat exchangers and water bath heaters
- Supporting and preparing materials for site activities
- Liaising with internal and external suppliers to ensure they meet contractual obligations
- Accountable for raising and fulfilling orders, PO’s & WRF’s
- Ensuring data capture and reporting is complete and up to date
- Supporting the implementation of a stock management system
- Ensuring workplace standards are upheld and contribute to continuous improvement
- Ensuring all materials are certified and fit for purpose
- Leading equipment assurance/audits and implementation of actions
- Coordinating site improvement plans and leading on lean initiatives
- Carrying out daily area inspections
- Delivering / Collecting items
- Ensuring all compliance documentation is up to the required standards/company procedures
- Responsible for a working environment that ensures the achievement of all safety and environmental legislation, engineering, and customer standards
- Sharing, promoting, and facilitating/implementing technical and procedural best practise

What you'll bring
- Project management experience
- Good communication skills verbal and written
- Good understanding of performance excellence to improving performance
- Ability to successfully prioritise and handle multiple tasks
- Managing and prioritising your own workload
- Awareness of stock management systems
- Experience in facilitating and carrying out equipment checks or audits
- Ability to coordinate transportation and lifting activities
- A full valid UK driving licence
- Experience in the use of forklifts/lifting aids
