**About the role**:
The vacancy is for a part-time Accounts Payable Administrator in the Finance Department at our Eccles Site in Manchester, UK. The purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive and effective administration service in the processing of purchase invoices, ensuring that suppliers invoices are paid in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
The Company can be flexible in the work pattern required for this part-time role, but we will need cover for 20 to 25 hours per week.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Process purchase invoices either by matching to Purchase Order after comparing quantity and price or input directly into system and forward for authorisation.
- Solve queries and identify problems with invoices, payments, and systems.
- Ensure invoices are paid to agreed payment terms using agreed payment method.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries relating thereto.
- Receive telephone enquiries from both British and foreign suppliers regarding payments.
- Provide cover for tasks performed by peers.
- Maintain an accurate invoice filing system.
- Perform ad hoc duties required by the Eu/AP Finance Manager
About you:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good telephone manner, employing tact and diplomacy.
- Good knowledge of computerised accounting systems: SAGE is the company’s ERP system and prior knowledge of SAGE is desirable ERP system and prior knowledge of SAGE is desirable
- Able to use the suite of Microsoft Office tools, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- An attention to detail and diligent when entering data to SAGE
- Self-motivating with an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Prioritise workload where necessary.
- Flexible attitude, particularly with exact hours of work if longer term cover is required for other Department members.
