Henley on Thames, United Kingdom Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Are you an experienced Emergency Practitioner (either Nurse or Paramedic), with a passion for delivering exceptional patient focused care?

Are you a specialist in minor injury and minor illness management?

Do you have level 6/7 minor illness and injury qualifications with proven experience at band 6?

If so our Minor Injury Unit and the GP Out of Hours Service is the place for you

The Out of Hours Service manages approximately 11,000 patient contacts per month whilst our Minor Injury Units treat approximately 3500 patients across the Service per month, making a real difference, providing care closer to home and avoiding admission to hospital wherever possible and appropriate.

As a Specialist Emergency Practitioner, you will be a Registered Nurse or Paramedic with the skills to autonomously assess and treat patients within their own home, with telephone consultations and within the Urgent Care bases. You will have excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills along with a passion to provide patient centered care.

You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team who pride themselves on their excellent team working and support of each other whilst treating a diverse range of conditions which will give you the opportunity to develop advanced skills in both injury and illness, with mentorship from GP colleagues to support illness development.

We will encourage you to further develop your skills through a supportive programme of training and education including Non-Medical prescribing and L7 leadership with a tailored development plan and competence portfolio of practice. You will have the opportunity to specialise in injury or illness if preferred option with development opportunities to ACP level.

Benefits of working for Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust include:

- 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, with an increase to 33 days with continuous service
- NHS Discount across a wide range of shops, restaurants and retailers
- Staff accommodation
