**Repairs Customer Team Leader**

**Based in our Northampton office**

**£34,000 - £37,000 depending on experience**

**Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 5.30pm**

This is an exciting brand new role within our newly established Repairs and Voids team. As the Repairs Team Leader at Sage Homes, the largest provider of new affordable homes in England, you will play a key role in the delivery of an efficient, customer focused service at the initial point of contact for external and internal customers accessing the services provided by the Repairs team.

The Repairs Team Leader is responsible for the line management of the Repairs Customer Advisors who are responsible for organising and managingcustomer contact on responsive repairs.

**This role is based in our Northampton office.**

**Key duties include**:

- Manage the team, developing procedures and working arrangements for the efficient and effective delivery of the repairs service ensuring there is sufficient cover in the team.
- To take repairs requests from Sage customers and staff and place orders maintaining a courteous and helpful approach, meeting our Customer Charter.
- To place orders with approved contractors, keeping clear records of works ordered by using the computerised Repairs and Maintenance system.
- Update property records and property database to ensure that accurate records and information are available.
- Monitor team performance and set targets to achieve continuous improvement in performance and service.
- To liaise with approved contractors and monitor progress of works issued to them, keeping clear records and operating and maintaining a computer based repairs system.
- Use the schedule of rates to compare, analyse and benchmark contractor costs.
- To attend meetings with other departments to ensure excellent communication over Repairs issues.
- To process repair cases that may result in insurance claims in line with the Sage Homes' procedures.
- Regularly produce commentary for reports on the performance of the team and contractors
- Benchmark services in terms of quality and cost, ensuring value for money is obtained.
- To liaise with approved contractors and monitor the progress of works issued to them. Emphasis to be given to the monitoring the completion of emergency repairs to ensure the team meets the Association's targets.
- To monitor customer satisfaction with the repairs service and ensure that where there has been dissatisfaction with service provided ensure follow up actions are taken and that contact with the customer is recorded.

**About you**
- Experience in delivering a high quality service, within a maintenance or building environment.
- Basic knowledge of housing construction.
- Able to supervise and motivate staff and work effectively in a team structure.
- Previous supervisory experience in an office / service environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Ability to work in busy and demanding environment whilst maintaining a calm and measured approach to dealing with urgent matters.
