**Team Leader - WHSmith Northampton Rail**

Contract Type: Permanent

Working hours: 39 hours, flexible

As a Sales Assistant you’ll provide exceptional customer service and work independently or as part of a team to deliver our fantastic store standards. We want you, our customers, and our colleagues to be proud to share their journey with us.

**What being a Team Leader is all about**:

- Delivering an exceptional customer service to all our customers.
- Meeting high standards of display and visual merchandising helping customers find what they're looking for easily.
- Act on the daily store review and ensure relevant store standards checks are carried out and any necessary action taken.
- Motivate & coach the team to deliver individual and store targets, including average transaction value and add on sales
- Performance management of staff - lateness, absence, poor work rate, poor service.
- Duty manage the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
- Stock management including promotions and on-shelf availability
- Ensure store is fully compliant with pricing, promotions, legislation and Health and Safety.
- Follow company policies and procedures relating to cash, stock and HR.Work with the management team to guarantee staff availability on the shop floor through coordinating your team's rotas and attendance.
