Under the mentoring and guidance of the Senior HR Manager, we are looking for a dedicated professional who is looking to learn and developtheir skills.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to make pragmatic decisions based on a specific situation and provide a customer-focused approach to deliver results that create value for OLM.

**Job Overview**

Responsible for all HR administration in all areas of the employee lifecycle and first level contact for general employee/manager questions.

Responsible for complete accuracy of HR records and processes and compliance with legal and auditable requirements. Support the Senior HR Manager in the delivery of more complex HR tasks and issues, and ad hoc project work as required.

Provide a professional, high quality, timely, customer-focused HR service to directors, management, colleagues and job applicants.

**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Manage the starter and leaver process
- Acts as first level contact for general employee relations questions & guidance on policies and procedures, referring more complex questions with the Senior HR Manager
- Keep the HRIS (BambooHR) up to date with employee information
- Ensure completion of DBS checks
- Absence management & reporting
- Assist the Senior HR Manager in all employee communications
- Work within GDPR guidelines, managing people data requests and the confidentiality of all employee and job applicant data.
- Keep up-to-date with HR and employment law changes, current trends and issues, through webcasts and online HR resources to ensure best practices
- Assisting the Senior HR Manager with tasks and ad hoc projects

**Experience Required**
- Previous HR Generalist or Advisor or an HR Assistant looking to step-up
- Experience working in an SME
- Organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead and manage own time
- Ability to work without supervision
- Pragmatic problem solving
- The ability to encourage and motivate people
- Knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Experience of an HRIS (BambooHR is an advantage)
- Proficient in MS Office
