**Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week**

**Contract Type - fixed term position available for three years.
- an outline (maximum 2 pages) of their current and future research plans two samples of pending or published research work (which might include articles, book chapters or chapters of a thesis).

**The Opportunity**:
To join a dynamic team of academics working in Edinburgh Law School. The post will enable you to build on your existing research achievements, establish a strong teaching profile, and develop professional contacts across the University of Edinburgh and beyond.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Aptitude to deliver excellent research-led teaching and learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Family Law or related areas of the law of persons.
- Ability to design and deliver course materials and to assess student performance.
- Ability to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in their dissertation work.
- Ability to develop expertise in the joint supervision of PhD students in Family Law or related areas of the law of persons.
- Ability to develop a research plan in the area(s) of expertise, including through high quality publications.
- Ability to work constructively as part of a collegial team within the Private Law Subject Area.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage students both on-campus and in online settings.
