What are we looking for in our **Teaching and Learning Administrator?**
**Teaching and Learning Administrator - Hybrid - London - £18.18 per hour PAYE**
- Key responsibilities:_
- Student Support:
- Administer self-cert extensions in the Department and support with Extenuating Circumstances, working closely with other members of the Teaching and Learning Team and Departmental Tutors
- Record, maintain and report student data as required
General Teaching and Learning Administration
- Liaise with course tutors to update course outlines and collate essay questions, coursework deadlines and other course materials.
- Support all student assessment processes in line with departmental and university deadlines and regulations.
- Support the efficient administration of student coursework. This includes:
- monitoring essay submissions, collating and returning essays to deadlines.
- accurately logging late submitted coursework and providing advice on the extenuating circumstances procedure as appropriate.
- communicating with and collating marks from first and second markers.
- administering Turnitin accounts, the Department’s plagiarism detection software, within Moodle and to report problems as appropriate.
- inputting and updating records on central and local databases.
- supporting on arrangements for the Late Summer Assessment period including setting up Turnitin submission boxes and communicating resit information to students.
- Draft correspondence, produce and/or maintain student reports and/or letters
- Liaise with course tutors and ensure course Moodle pages are correct and up to date.
- Take personal accountability for the data quality of student records, ensuring records are accurately maintained.
- Maintain the ’student hub’ on Moodle, ensuring that there is oversight of the information provided and ensuring that pages are up to date.
- Develop collaborative working relationships with colleagues in the departments of Philosophy and Economics for the successful delivery of the BSc PPE programme.
General Responsibilities:
- Work flexibly as part of a team, supporting others in times of high-volume activity, providing cover, reception cover, and supporting the training and development of new staff members.
- Supporting the Teaching and Learning Coordinator(s) and Teaching and Learning Manager(s) in other aspects of the teaching administration as required.
- To be familiar with the structure and content of the Department’s teaching programmes and relevant policy and procedure and to keep up to date with policy changes.
- To continue to develop skills and knowledge in work practices, policies, and procedures.
- To actively follow policies including Equal Opportunities policies.
- To maintain awareness and observation of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations.
