We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Early Years Educator to join our team.

**MAIN DUTIES**:

- To meet children’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs by providing stimulating and age-appropriate play and learning opportunities in the nursery.
- To safeguard children at all times and follow safeguarding policies and procedures in line with company policies. To safeguard children’s welfare and help to build their confidence and self-esteem.
- To supervise the children where appropriate and to protect them from dangerous or harmful situations.
- Contribute to a high level of care that will enhance the children’s general health and well-being.
- To share with parents/carers how their child’s session progressed, always starting the discussion with a positive comment.
- To be aware of any special needs a child may have and to familiarise oneself with relevant play and learning plans.
- To arrange and attend parents’/carers’ meetings and allow a two-way discussion on child’s progress.
- To share progress of children with relevant keyworker and contribute any ideas to informal & formal planning sessions.
- To contribute to and attend his/her staff appraisal.
- To attend regular team meetings & produce observation reports as required.
- To share any child protection concerns immediately.
- To attend any conferences, training events or meetings as identified by the Manager.
- To ensure adherence to nursery’s code of practice on confidentiality.
- To be aware of the nursery’s Policies and Procedures.
- To keep up to date with current good practice.
- To perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the Manager.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Willingness to learn.
- Level 3 Childcare qualification
- Previous experience with young children.
- Willingness to undertake training leading to a recognised childcare qualification.
- Commitment to equal opportunities.

- Friendly, flexible approach.

**Desirable**:

- Experience of working with young children.
