Axcis Education, a leading provider of education recruitment services, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Officer to join a reputable local provisional unit in Knowsley. This is a full-time position, operating during term time from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Manage and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Process purchase orders, invoices, and expenses in a timely manner.
Monitor budgetary controls and provide regular financial reports to the school leadership.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the school's annual budget.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective budgetary planning and utilization.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and governing bodies.
Provide insightful analysis of financial data to support decision-making processes.
Payroll Administration:
Coordinate payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to statutory requirements.
Handle pension contributions and related matters.
Compliance and Audit:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience in a finance role, preferably within an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
