Finance Officer

To undertake responsibilities as a member of Daisy Inclusive UK's Finance team to provide
efficient and effective financial support to meet the Charities' financial responsibilities.
- To be responsible for ensuring day to day processes are managed in an accurate and
timely manner.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide high quality financial administrative support to Board of Trustees and CEO
- To maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of charity-related matters and to
prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information.
- Input standard information into the Charities financial system, QuickBooks, in accordance
with financial procedures.
- Process purchase orders for appropriate equipment and materials accurately with the
agreed authorization and timescales and liaise with suppliers / budget holders.
- Check goods received notes on the charities' finance system against invoices and liaise
with the staff to confirm goods receipt or resolve any discrepancies.
- Raise sales invoices as required.
- Dealing with enquiries ensuring necessary documentation is supplied and raising relevant
charges.
- Be the main point of contact in the finance office to handle all queries, paperwork and ad
- hoc requests as they arise. Offer support to finance team and senior staff members as and
when required.
- Control of fundraising including cash, cheques, online donations and allocation to
accounts in Quickbooks. Complete report and record claims for Gift Aid. Reporting fund
information to management.
- Monitor and report on outstanding debts in accordance with credit control policy. Chase
- Handling all cash coming into Finance Office including counting, banking and
reconciliation.
- Provide administrative support with transactions, stock reconciliations and management
accounts with variance commentary.
- Support the Finance manager and management in monitoring the budget of the charity.
- Help to identify and highlight any significant variances. Check budget accounts for posting
- errors and journaling any anomalies
- Communicate directly with staff, parents and suppliers/contractors. Advise other staff on
financial procedures
- Ensure that all enquiries or issues arising are dealt with in a prompt and courteous
manner in such a way as to guarantee their resolution in a timely and appropriate way.
- Maintain filing of financial information including scanning of invoices and associated
documents and attaching transactions within Quickbooks.
- Provide ad-hoc financial administration duties in a timely and efficient manner.
- Engage in promoting the values and acting as a role model for the charity
- To work collaboratively with the Finance Manager, CEO and management team, to offer
charity a seamless service.
- To work flexibly and outside normal core hours when required.
- Respect confidentiality at all times.
- Any other duties of a similar nature related to the post, which may be required from time
to time by the Finance Manager, CEO or management team.
- The post holder may also be required to undergo training in order to undertake duties of
the posting an efficient manner
- The duties of this post may vary from time to time without changing the general character
of the post or level of responsibility entailed.
- The post-holder may also be required to support Daisy Inclusive UK with administrative
duties and main Reception cover to support the operation of the charity
- The post holder must carry out his/her duties with full regard to the Charity Child
Protection and Safeguarding, Equalities and other relevant policies in the terms of
employment and service delivery to ensure that colleagues are treated and services
delivered in a fair and consistent manner.
- That the post holder is required to comply with Health and Safety Policy and systems,
report any incidents/accidents/hazards and take a proactive approach to health and safety
matters in order to protect both yourself and others
- That the post holder will be required to comply with all Charity policies and procedures
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £18.00 per hour
