**Policing and Partnerships Delivery Officer**

**Overview of the Job**

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of a programme of campaigns, initiatives and operations in partnership with the Police and enforcement agencies to reach the targets and goals set out by the Mayor in his Transport Strategy, the Police and Crime Plan and in support of the London Transport Community Safety Partnership and CPOS's policing priorities. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating police, stakeholders and community engagement for new initiatives, campaigns, and operations across a range of high profile and complex areas, as diverse as road danger reduction; freight enforcement; reducing cab-related sexual offences; safer travel at night; safeguarding children and vulnerable adults; hate crime; fear of crime; tackling unwanted sexual behaviour on public transport and other key TfL customer priorities. You will be responsible for delivery and capturing the process and outcomes of new initatives before they are mainstreamed into CPOS business. You will promote partnership working and take a problem-oriented approach working across TfL and with external organizations to realise the value of TfL's investment in policing.

**Key accountabilities**
- Accountable for implementing new initiatives with Transport Police partners ensuring that campaigns, projects and priority activities are delivered successfully; demonstrating value for money and adopting a problem-solving approach, working towards the ambition set by the Mayor’s Transport Strategy. LTCSP priorities /MOPAC Police and Crime Plan/CPOS priorities
- Accountable for the delivery of behaviour change campaigns, progrmme and interventions by the Police and enforcement partners in support of Mayoral, MOPAC and London Transport Community Safety Partnership priorities
- Responsible for building collaborative relationships with Police, DVSA and and other key stakeholders and maintaining TfL's profile for innovation in changing behaviour through education, engagement, and enforcement
- Accountable for planning, setting project objectives, milestones, securing stakeholder support and capturing learning for a range of complex partnership initiatives spanning transport crime, anti-social behaviour, road danger reduction, safeguarding and customer confidence
- Responsible for supporting the Policing and Partnership Campaigns Manager to build effective relationships across TfL and deliver requirements and meet the expectations of operational delivery businesses, CCT and Group Planning from across TfL
- Support the CPOS Policy Team to deliver agreed approaches with Police and enforcement partners, setting objectives, co-ordinating activity and collecting results
- Seek opportunities to share results and highlight the impact of activities with a range of different stakeholders in particular the Mayor's Office and TfL Customer, Communications and Technology teams
- Responsible for deputising for the Partnerships and Campaigns Manager and speaking for CPOS/TfL at a range of meetings and events with Police partners
- Responsible for compliance with healthy and safety legislation and contributing to the Health and Safety culture in TfL, meeting the vision of "Everyone home safe and healthy everyday."

**Knowledge**
- Knowledge and awareness of relevant legislation, to include the Data Protection Act (DPA) and Freedom of Information Act (FOI)
- Knowledge and awareness of operational policing practices and problem orientated policing theory
- Knowledge and awareness of crime reduction and/or road safety partnerships, priorities and policies
- Knowledge and understanding of the major issues affecting the provision of policing and transport services in London
- A good knowledge of TfL organisation and structure and, ideally, TfL culture and processes.
- High standards of written and verbal communication
- Good organisational and project management skills
- A proven ability to build and develop effective working relationships with staff in a range of areas, and at different levels
