Business Analyst – Police Staff – Counter Terrorism Policing HQ
To do this we are constantly evolving and developing new and innovative ways to counter the ever shifting terrorist threat.
As a business analyst in the CTP’s technology pillar you will represent the national CTP community by eliciting and developing their technology user requirements, scoping studies and business cases. You will develop the documentation to progress projects through due governance and subsequent delivery. In addition, to be a contact for the CTP community in relation to technology providing advice and guidance.
assist national CTP community customers in the creation of appropriate user requirements, scoping studies and business cases, liaising with operational teams, procurement services and lead accountants as and where appropriate. understand the national CTP community’s current and future needs for technology services (new and to be developed). assist in the update and maintenance of the Business Development, Strategy and Demand (BDSD) demand log and the national CT technology strategy.
work with CTPHQ, finance services, commercial services and external agencies to ensure that projects and programmes are suitably commissioned and ensure they continue to deliver against the needs of the national CTP community
act as a technology conduit between the customer and CTPHQ, to be a key point of advice and escalation with respect to technology projects, programmes, governance and issues
represent the BDSD, the technology pillar and CTPHQ, at project and programme boards, both in-house and at corporate forums and at partner agencies, by which to influence direction. assist in advising on the suitability of new and emerging technologies to the national CTP community. Oversee and coordinate the implementation of national technology projects and initiatives therein to provide and communicate updates on the status of requirements and business cases
work into the operational delivery intelligent client unit, assisting with the delivery of project lifecycle deliverables
work across CTPHQ by which to build and maintain stakeholder relationships in order to progress requested project and demand outputs
facilitate workshops and produce appropriate business process models, identifying and implementing improvements
support the intelligent client unit test manager to ensure project deliverables meet user requirements and expectations
