**Learning Support Officer**

**Role Purpose & Context**

Oxford Professional Education are a leading provider of Apprenticeships within our sector, working with a diverse range of employers from public sector organisations, large multinational blue-chip organisations, through to SMEs.

As a Learning Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring that our apprentices feel supported throughout their journey with us.

**Role Summary**
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for apprentices to thrive emotionally and personally.
- Provide emotional support, actively listening to concerns, and offering guidance as needed.
- Coordinate the smooth progression of apprentices throughout their training programme, from initial enquiry to End Point Assessment (EPA).
- Review and assume responsibility for the early interventions process to provide advice, guidance and support for apprentices newly on-boarded into the programme.
- Provide additional coaching sessions where needed to vulnerable apprentices or apprentices at risk to ensure progress is timely and actions are completed.

**Key Responsibilities**

Customer focused and proactive, your key responsibilities will include:

- Undertake apprentice progress reviews to ensure that the apprentice is on track and offer support with any associated pastoral needs.
- Conduct regular 1:1 check-ins with apprentices to assess their wellbeing and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with Wellbeing Team for guidance on enrichment articles.
- Report any safeguarding, wellbeing or learner concerns to the Safeguarding Lead.

**Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity**
- Ensure that pastoral support is inclusive and sensitive to the diverse needs of our apprentices.
- Promote an inclusive learning environment that values and respects differences.
- Ensure that apprentices are fully au fait with Safeguarding, the Prevent Duty and Fundamental British Values.

**Skills & Experience**

Some of the key attributes we look for include:

- 3 years’ administrative experience
- Detail oriented, task focused with an emphasis on getting things right on time, first time.
- Excellent communication skills when working with colleagues, customers, learners and trainers.
- Professional, courteous, passionate, flexible, pragmatic, personable with a confident, ‘can do’ attitude.
- Innovative, inspiring, incisive individual who works with integrity.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,000.00 per year
