Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and process a high volume of invoices and purchase orders
- Match invoices to purchase orders and obtain proper approvals
- Ensure accuracy of data entered into the accounting system
- Manage vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Process and reconcile employee expense reports
- Communicate with internal departments and external vendors regarding payment inquiries
- Assist with month-end closing and other accounting projects as needed

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software (Quickbooks, NetSuite, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the recycling industry is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Liverpool: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- purchase ledger: 2 years (preferred)
