**THE ROLE**

We are recruiting for a Pipeline Officer to join our Maintenance Department, based in Glasgow reporting to a Pipeline Engineer. The role will include involvement in all aspects of high-pressure pipeline maintenance, contributing to the continued long-termintegrity of SGN’s high pressure pipeline network.

Key responsibilities will include;
- Your routine workloads will include the monitoring and maintenance of the Cathodic Protection systems in place on pipelines.
- Interacting with all Stakeholders on pipeline safety, including landowners, farmers, local authorities and 3rd party contractors.
- Carrying out routine survey work on the pipeline network.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
- Excellent communication skills to ensure positive interactions with all stakeholders.
- Good understanding of the high-pressure pipeline network owned and operated by SGN.
- A flexible and positive attitude to work, self-motivated to deliver work to a high standard.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and maps.
- Awareness of procedures relevant to Pipelines, particularly; IGEM TD/1, SGN/PM/MAINT/5, SGN/PM/ECP/2 & SGN/WI/SW/2.
- A strong understanding of the principals of Cathodic Protection would be beneficial.
- You must be physically fit, capable of walking long distances over rough ground.
- Full driving license is essential.
- You will be expected to take part in the Maintenance standby as required.
