We currently have a great opportunity for a **Payroll Officer** to join our in-house finance team on a permanent basis.

We’re looking for a dedicated professional to bring our values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services.

**The Role**

As a Payroll Officer, you will actively work on payroll activities, in line with terms and conditions to meet legislative and audit requirements and meet agreed deadlines, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. You will work on monthly reconciliations, manual calculations and maintain evidence of checks carried out and will be responsible for processing payrolls, varying in size and complexity. You will be responsible for dealing with internal and external queries, providing complex advice and guidance and liaising with HMRC and other organisations, such a Pensions providers.

**Skills and experience required**:

- At least 3 years previous working in a payroll team
- Experience and / or knowledge of using Civica payroll system or similar
- Good IT abilities with excellent working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and look ups
- CIPP qualified (or working towards) a recognised payroll qualification
- Knowledge of reconciliations and a good understanding of accurate management information would be advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail, administration, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Due to the nature of this role, a standard DBS will be required.
