**Job Purpose**
The Quality Enhancement and Assurance (QEA) team are integral to the School’s Learning and Teaching strategy. Within this team, the post of Quality Enhancement and Assurance Coordinator supports the delivery of the strategy by:

- Ensuring that our learning and teaching is inclusive and supports a diverse student community whose needs and aspirations vary substantially, and that our academic policies and practices support and promote student and staff wellbeing and inclusion.
- Maintaining and promoting academic integrity and respect in terms of our behaviours and the approach we take to academic standards and quality.
- Promoting excellence in learning and teaching through evidence-based approaches that shape our teaching and assessment practices, learning design, and partnership development, recognising those efforts and achievements in terms of career advancement.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

**1.**
**Contribute to the enhancement of learning and teaching activities across the School.**
- Monitor QEA developments at University and sector level and develop project proposals and/or implementation plans.
- Investigate and benchmark best QEA practice within the University and wider HE sector and produce reports with recommendations for consideration by the School.
- Ensure School QA procedures are followed in relation to programme monitoring and review and Assurance of Learning (AoL).

**2.**
**Design, document and implement new quality assurance policies and implement updates to existing policies introduced by the University.**
- In conjunction with the School Quality Officer and School Quality Enhancement and Assurance Manager, lead/participate in pilots or rollout of new QEA activities in the School.
- Provide leadership in the development, implementation and monitoring of QEA processes across the School, in line with University expectations and the requirements of external and accrediting bodies.
- Provide staff at all levels with relevant guidance and support.
- Provide relevant training and coaching to staff.
- Produce standard operating procedures and user guides for professional service colleagues.
- Represent the School on relevant project teams/working groups.
- Contribute to consultation exercises.

**3.**
**Coordinate the operation of routine Quality Assurance, programme evaluation and assessment activities across the School.**
- Provide support to the Quality Enhancement and Assurance Manager.
- Line-manage/support the Quality Enhancement and Assurance Administrators.
- Oversee the development of standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate continuous improvement in this sphere.
- Collaborate with the School Quality and Enhancement Officer and liaise with APG staff to design, update and implement policies and processes in response to university-level developments.
- Provide advice to academic staff and Programmes Administrators on appropriate evaluation strategies and mechanisms.
- Produce summary reports and analysis on course evaluation outcomes.
- Support Programme Directors to produce programme-level action reports as part of the annual reporting process.
- Promote good practice and a culture of enhancement in quality assurance activity, building productive synergies across the School with reference to the University’s Academic Quality Framework.

**4.**
**Engage and advise colleagues across the School on policy and regulatory matters involving Academic Policy and Governance**
- Work across the School to ensure all student matters (complaints, conduct, good cause) adhere to central policy and regulations.
- Maintain record of complaints, including ensuring actions are implemented and escalating recurrent issues.
- Explain and manage compliance with internal and external quality assurance protocols to a wide range of stakeholders.

**5.**
**Provide support to new learning and teaching staff (academic, professional services, casual workers and GTAs).**
- In conjunction with School Learning and Teaching Associate Directors, develop induction programme, organise sessions, and evaluate induction events.
- Deliver bespoke inductions on SharePoint.
- Deliver inductions on systems and processes.
- Provide briefings on relevant QEA topics.

**6.**
**Oversee GDPR compliance and understanding in the School**
- Provide guidance to staff.
- Liaise with the Data Protection Office and produce and maintain guidance to facilitate understanding.
- Compile biannual School report on data breaches.
