We are recruiting for an Apprentice Customer Parts Advisor at Kirkcaldy and Dalkeith Ford Centres.

Our work environment includes working in a relaxed atmosphere with on-the-job training. We are seeking an apprentice Service/Parts Advisor to provide excellent service to our customers by working alongside our Service Team, scheduling appointments, communicating the cost of repairs to the customer. Work with a team to keep the service area clean and safe. Learn about vehicles, service operations, and complex equipment systems. Work with Technicians to ensure that repairs are carried out in proper alignment with manufacturer's specifications and local health and safety regulations.

**Role Overview**:

- Build a rapport with customers to understand their needs.
- Maintain positive relationships with all customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Ensure all orders are packed and dispatched correctly, within the required timescale.
- Monitor and maintain agreed stock levels, checking deliveries against delivery notes, ensuring all parts are accounted for.

**What does the job entail?**
- To ensure all customers are dealt with promptly and courteously.
- To ensure all incoming calls are answered within the department guidelines.
- To ensure that parts are correctly checked against delivery notes and all orders are checked before the delivery note is signed.
- To ensure all parts received for stock have been put away before close of business.
- To ensure that the work area is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
- To ensure that exchange units and warranty parts returned to the Parts Department are clean and labelled correctly.
- To complete work-based training projects with minimum disruption to the Department and within agreed timescales.
- To ensure that the procedures for handling cash, cheques and accounts are fully adhered to.
- To ensure that the security of the Parts Department is always upheld.
- To report any stock damage or stock losses to the Service Manager
- To ensure all parts are accurately located using the correct Dealer management and stock control methods.
- To be able to demonstrate knowledge of correct packing procedures and despatch matters.
- To assist with warranty material and returns.
- To adhere to all health and safety Retail Standard procedures.
- To attend internal and external training courses as directed by management.
- Assistance with any other tasks as directed.

**Salary**: £5.21-£10.42 per hour

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
