**Overview**

The System Administrator provides support to, maintains and administers the Information Technology systems to BCMGlobal and its clients. You will be part of a team supporting an on-premise datacentre providing services for 250 users across the UK and Ireland.

You will be responsible for the delivery of server infrastructure and associated services

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Undertake a pro-active approach to issue identification and resolution
- Escalate problem issues accurately, proactively and in a timely and professional manner, making recommendations as necessary
- Identify, recommend and implement enhancements to processes and procedures
- Undertake projects as defined by IT management, meeting agreed deadlines and achieving specific objectives
- Maintenance and administration of the overall IT infrastructure, managing Service Desk queue and own workload to meet SLAs and agreed priorities
- Proactively monitor and report on status of network systems
- Maintain routine data backups and conduct routine test restores to ensure that archived data can be recovered
- Day to day administration of all hardware, software and network services
- Proactively contribute to the management and maintenance of BCMGlobal Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Undertake IT Infrastructure housekeeping
- Provide technical advice and guidance to support the business in its selection of future technologies and improvements to current services
- Facilitate audit requests
- Rota team coverage for supported hours and out of hours on call support

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (Desirable)
- Recognised qualification in Computer Science or related field (Desirable)
- Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certification (Desirable)
- Comprehensive experience in the provision, support, maintenance and administration of Information Technology systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of WAN and LAN infrastructure, Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory Domain Services, GPO, Microsoft Exchange Server, Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft SCOM, virtual server technology including Microsoft Hyper-V, server hardware including Blade Server, SAN and Fibre Channel technology, backup technologies including Veritas Backup Exec, Anti-virus solutions
- Working knowledge of some or all of the following: Citrix administration and basic support, Internet filtering solutions, file replication solutions, virtual server technology, cloud hosting technology, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, telephony platforms including Mitel, security and Data Loss Prevention solutions
- Understanding and experience of SLA management
- Experience of working to a structured methodology and maintaining ISO or legislative compliance
- Comfortable working in a team; a good team player
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able and comfortable at communicating at all levels within an organisation
- Rational thinker with a pragmatic approach and ability to demonstrate sound technical judgement
- Ability to organise own workload, work to aggressive deadlines in dynamically moving situations and to be able to multi-task
