**Job description**:
The Group HR PMO has been established to manage, track and prioritise our overarching Department for Transport (DfT) HR workplan and associated activities. There is significant and exciting change taking place across the department and you will play a central role in managing and prioritising the activities that will ensure success.

The HR Programme Management Office (PMO) works alongside HR Central Services and is the central point of the HR Directorate, providing support in a number of key areas including; all aspects of HR programme planning, performance and risk reporting, creation/maintenance of PMO templates and materials, tracking workplans and delivery of additional supporting activity.

- Leading performance and risk reporting for the directorate and ensuring updates are of appropriate quality while deadlines are being met
- Implementing best PD practices, using products to ensure effective coordination, analysis and presentation of information on directorate performance
- Proactively supporting activities to identify opportunities for more efficient programme management functions, products, and ways of working by building capability across HR
- Working at pace to identify and prioritise key issues, ensuring tasks are commissioned and delivered on time

**About You**

To be successful, you will need to be someone who has experience of creating and maintaining a wide range of PMO materials. Being able to support the Senior Leadership Team, coordinating, analysing and presenting data that provides high level insights and improves forward planning and decision-making.

You will have a keen eye for data and can expertly analyse large datasets and identify trends or key conclusions with ease, being able to turn these into presentations to support Senior Management so this can be shared across an organisation.

You will bring with you your experience of working within a PMO or Project coordination role, being able to consult on PMO best practice and standards effectively to ensure delivery targets are met for an organisation.

**Additional Information**

There will be some travel involved with this role, this will include attending meetings/events across our other DfT offices. This is likely to occur up to once a month and may include overnight stays.

A minimum of 40% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace, although requirements to attend other locations for official business, or carry out detached duty in another DfT workplace, will also count towards this level of attendance.

**You will need to hold or be willing to work towards the appropriate qualification(s) including: APM/PPM, Managing Successful Programmes, PRINCE2 or equivalent.**
