**Personal Assistant to Chief Superintendent and Functional Area Support for Operational Support Services**, North Wales Police, Salary £27,432 to £29,331**
To provide an effective and efficient support service to the relevant Chief Superintendent and Senior Management Team.

**Here are some of the accountabilities of the Personal Assistant to Chief Superintendent OSS role**:
- Manage the relevant diaries and appointments, making all necessary arrangements for functions, meetings, accommodation and travel both inside and outside the Force. Full use of information technology systems will be required to fulfil this aspect of the role.
- Manage all relevant correspondence and preparation of replies and directing others to reply and follow up queries as appropriate.
- Manage relevant telephone calls in an efficient and professional manner.
- Attend relevant meetings to take minute and notes and distribution of agendas and associated documentation as required. This may include a verbatim record. Such meetings may take place across the Force area and will involve the use of appropriate information technology.
- Prepare relevant briefings and assist in the preparation and delivery of reports involving a range of tasks as required.
- Management of relevant filing systems - both electronic and paper based - including confidential systems for which formal vetting will be required.
- Undertake a range of work processing and presentational tasks for the Chief Superintendent including correspondence, speeches and presentations in a range of formats, making full use of information technology.
- Assist in planning and organising the secretarial and administrative work schedule within the Senior Management Team.

**What will I need to be considered for this Personal Assistant to Chief Superintendent OSS role?**
- Relevant qualification in Secretarial Skills, together with possession of advanced typing/word processing skills (i.e. 50-60 wpm) advantageous.
- Previous supervisory experience advantageous commensurate with the requirements of the post.
- The ability to fully utilise modern office technology - in particular - Microsoft Office Outlook, Power Point and force computer systems.
- Effective literacy skills to produce short reports/briefings on a variety of straightforward issues.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision initiating responses to a range of enquiries.
- An effective team player
- Ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Highly developed inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain a comprehensive network of contacts inside and outside the organisation.
- Operate with integrity, in a professional manner and appearance, displaying enthusiasm and motivation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated by an ability to communicate confidently at all levels of the organisation.
- Exercise tact and discretion and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure remaining calm and constructive.
