**Purpose of the Job**

Responsible for the success of the Food Safety activities of the site. Supporting the site to produce food safely, and hygienically and to required internal & external specifications within a HACCP framework

Responsible for reporting of Food Safety KPIs

Support the factory by undertaking internal audits, including GMP, and G&HP Audits and continual review of site procedures to customer, legal and accredition standards.

Collate informatio to assist in reports generated by the team.

**Results Areas**
- Monitor the health, safety, welfare and environmental aspects within manufacturing to maintain a safe working environment and a focussed workforce.

To demonstrate the values of the site and business at all times
- Responsible for site HACCP reviews and associated documentation, inclusive of the site Allergen Management programme & CCP competency levels
- Support the factory in achieving and documenting GMP and hygiene standards to audit ready at all times
- Management of the Food Safety & Compliance Officer, checking structured tasks are completed OTIF
- Support customer and accreditation audits & close outs
- Responsible for raw material and product risk assessments in collaboration with PDC, C&D and SQT in line with customer requirements and industry best practice
- Challenge lack of adherence to policy, procedure and specifications to improve ways of working
- Escalate where appropriate to Quality Manager
- Deputise for other team members where necessary-Responsible for the facilitation of site Micro activities, including trending, reporting and escalations to site hygiene team and or Quality Manager
- Member of the site Internal audit team, support sites internal audit program and completing GAP analysis as required.
- Facilitate the site concession requests through SAP
- Support site in Food Safety Complaints reduction with self led projects
- Support review of food safety investigation reports and mentor the team to find the root cause.
- Complete monthly Food Safety KPIs and drive self led improvement initiatives
- Occasional travel will be required to support site projects.

**Required Skills**:

- Experienced to degree working and thinking level
- Minimum 2 year experience with Food Safety & retail custmer standards.
- In depth knowledge of Food Safety System (BRC, IFS,) HACCP, GMP and hygiene standards.
- Strong communication & computer skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- SAP knowledge

Pay: Up to £47,332.00 per year
