**CHISVA (Children’s Independent Sexual Violence Adviser)**

**An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and committed specialist Sexual Violence (ISVA/CHISVA) team working closely with wider partner agencies.**

Children's Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (CHISVA) This is a full time post working 37hrs per week.

In return we offer a competitive salary of between **£24,000-£26,146** (pro rata) dependent on qualifications and experience and 3% pension following a successful probationary period. The Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1) applies to this post. Full accredited training provided

Main purposes of the post To provide pro-active services to children and young people (aged 0 - 18**) who have been victims of sexual abuse and/or rape within and outside the criminal justice system.

CHISVAs work with children and their families to complete a risk and needs assessment and develop an individual safety & support plan

CHISVAs provide support throughout any criminal justice process and beyond.

Ensure child protection issues are dealt with through engagement with children and young people

Ensure positive and constructive relationships are maintained with the police and Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to the benefit of children and young people, their parents/guardians and their families and to ensure that the requirements of the Victims Code of Practice are being met.
