**Secondary Education Coordinator**

**Contract type**: Full time, fixed term until 31 August 2024

**Reports to**: Education Manager

**Location**: Herlingshaw Centre, South Bank

Occasionally at Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough and school sites

**Working arrangements**: 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday

With at least one evening until 19:00

Commitment to supporting match day’s on occassion

**Salary**:£24,063 - £27,124

**Overview**
Working closely with the Education Manager you will be responsible for the coordination of all secondary education projects, including Premier League Inspires and Virtual Schools contracts. The role includes managing three full-time staff, reviewing and updating delivery content whilst developing and growing relationships with local schools and businesses.

Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation (MFCF) is the independent charity of Middlesbrough
Football Club (MFC), established in 1996 by club Chairperson Steve Gibson. The Foundation uses the power of the MFC brand to engage with the community to provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people and adults to maximise their potential to achieve.

Premier League Inspires is an education programme, introduced in 2019, developed by the Premier
League and professional football clubs funded by the Premier League Charitable Fund (PLCF). Their aim is to use the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to support 11-25-year olds who are marginalised or at risk of not reaching their potential; supporting them as they move through the education system and early adulthood.

In this role you will use the influence of sport to deliver positive change in the lives and behaviours of under-represented or vulnerable groups and individuals within the local community. You will enhance opportunities for people with pan disabilities or special educational needs and disabilities. **The role**
- Coordinate and support delivery of the Premier League Inspires programme and other secondary school programmes as required.
- Support the development of a school’s package and promote to schools to generate income,
- Develop and grow strong partnerships with local schools and businesses and develop and maintain effective and positive relationships with wider stakeholders and partner organisations.
- Oversee the performance management of staff against targets, outcomes and performance.
- Support completion of programme monitoring and evaluation including funder reports.
- Manage overall team budget, including ensuring individual programme budgets are on track.
- Promote the vision, mission and core values of MFC Foundation.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive practices, adapting resources and engagements to ensure equal opportunities for all.
- Promote change and positively challenge discrimination.
- Consult with the Designated Safeguarding Officer to understand and support the complex safeguarding and risk requirements of delivery.
- Consult with the Health and Safety Officer to understand and support the health and safety needs and risk assessments of delivery.
- Working with the Data and Impact Coordinator and PR and Media Manager to review and analyse programme performance to ensure delivery is on track and to best communicate the impact of

MFC Foundation programmes on participants.
- Work with other projects and teams to contribute to a coordinated approach including continuous professional development, quality assurance, training and events.

**Requirements for the role**
- Experience in working effectively with young people in educational settings
- Knowledge of school systems in particular secondary education
- Experience in developing content and delivering educational provision
- An ability to positively influence a range of key stakeholders
- Experienced in leading on the successful management of multiple projects
