- This is an exciting opportunity within Outpatient Services, Ambulatory Care Division based at the NHS Treatment Centre for Gateway E - Outpatients: Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Hypertension and Diabetes. The Receptionists core working hours are Monday to Friday between 8am-6pm, with the occasional evening clinics requiring you to finish later. You will have excellent customer service skills and be committed to providing a first class service.-
- You must be educated to GCSE standard, possess excellent communication skills and be competent in the use of computers systems including Microsoft packages and Medway PAS.Main duties of the job

Working as part of the Outpatient team you will be responsible for greeting patients at reception, checking and updating personal details while maintaining patient confidentiality. Using Medway PAS and other relevant booking systems you will arrange follow-up appointments and update details accurately and efficiently. You’ll have excellent communication skills and will deal appropriately with enquires both by telephone and in person.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Essential criteria
- To be educated to ‘O’ level, GCSE or equivalent
- Experience of Microsoft packages

Desirable criteria
- To possess 5 GCSE A-C passes including English and Maths or equivalent

Experience

- Proven general office experience
- Customer Service Skills
- Experience of Team Working

Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of clinic reception work
- Knowledge of hospital IT systems, e.g. Medway PAS, Notis
- 18 week RTT knowledge and experience
- Sound knowledge of the layout of both City and QMC Campuses

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
