Over the past few years there have been a number of disruptive challenges that have required significant and sustained leadership and management. These challenges and opportunities will no doubt continue into the future and we need people who can help us plan and prepare for the effects of these situations.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Stirling Council as part of our Resilience Team as a Resilience Officer.
A key part of your work, in support of the organisation, will be to bring an understanding of the CONTEST strategy, the four ‘P’ work strands and to lead on the governance arrangements for these with a Local Authority context.
It will also be crucial that you work with and develop relationships with Local Resilience Partnership colleagues and others partners to develop closer working arrangements in support of our communities.

**Requirements**:
You will be educated to degree level (SCQF level 9) or have equivalent experience within Risk Management, Business Continuity or Resilience. You will require a high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with people at all levels of the Council and with our partners.

It is important that you will be able to work on your own initiative as well as with teams across the Council. Analytical skills and the ability to translate theory into operational output is vital. Political awareness is needed, together with a commitment to customer-focused public services.
