To support this aim the Education and Training Department are looking to expand their team and recruit to the position of Clinical Facilitator (Avatar Simulation). The role will involve working with the Lead Practice Educator, Head of Education and Training, Lifelong Medical Education Team and Health Education England.

You will be involved in the delivery of Avatar Simulation to support the development of the communication skills of the multi professional workforce. You will also work with other team members to develop other faculty members.

The person we are looking for will have; a strong clinical background with recent clinical experience, excellent communication skills, ability to engage and influence, demonstrate a passion for education and act as a professional role model. You will also be confident in working in cross field environments, providing support in Adult, Mental Health and Learning Disability settings. You will play a key role in quality improvement initiatives leading to improved patient care.

The role of the Clinical Facilitator (Avatar Simulation) is to promote, support and develop clinical practice within CFT utilising this innovative educational approach so that staff can achieve the highest possible standards of care, clinical judgement and decision making. To deliver high quality Avatar Simulation to improve communication skills related to challenging conversations which will have impact upon patient care across all of our multidisciplinary teams.

The role will support the development of a simulation faculty to ensure the sustained delivery of Avatar Simulation.

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.
