***What you'll do**
- Lead a team of 150 to 200 people located across London, Milan and India comprising of network & security designers, implementation & test engineers, software developers, QA engineers, network reliability & DevOps engineers
- Ensure teams are adequately resourced, own location strategy and define efficient use of on/offshore resources
- Identify and spot technology trends and shifts in IT work practice and act as a facilitator for the team to maintain the relevant knowledge and expertise
- Recruit talent and form a team to maintain Sky services within the top 2 of communication service providers in the markets we operate
- Point of escalation to CTO and business unit MDs. Support relevant M&A activities and strategic network decisions. Lead alignment discussions with other CSPs.
- Full accountability for the quality of the design, test, implementation, and operations.

***What you'll bring**
- Proven technology leadership within IP network, security and cloud technologies.
- Have the ability to identify and spot technology trends and shifts in IT work practice and act as a facilitator for the team to maintain the relevant knowledge and expertise
- Experienced in defining and handling SLAs with network suppliers.
- Handle critical issues to suppliers' senior management team.
- Show capability in designing and maintaining software engineering practices using modern approaches (SecDevOps, automated software testing, CI/CD pipelines and release management, etc.).

Together, we help Sky broadband, mobile and TV enter new markets by creating a single and secure infrastructure for the amazing content and services that keep our customers coming back for more.

The Group Network Services team is responsible to design, test, implement and support the IP networks, its critical network management and the telco cloud providing telecoms services to 10M customers. The role covers all the geographies where Sky operates.

The directorate will operate with DevOps and system reliability culture where the team has complete accountability and ownership of the network/system technologies it operates.
