The Strathclyde Counselling and Psychotherapy Research Clinic was established in 2007 to conduct practice-based research into the process and outcome of Person-Centred-Experiential counselling and psychotherapy. The research clinic is based within the Counselling Unit (School of Psychological Sciences and Health). It is a community counselling service, offering free counselling to members of the public who are willing to take part in research activities alongside their counselling process, a counselling placement opportunity for students registered on our MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a substantial and growing archive of quantitative and qualitative data collected during the counselling process and at follow up.

We wish to appoint a part-time Research Clinic Coordinator (0.4FTE; working days, Tuesday and Friday). This role involves organising and maintaining the data archive and ensuring its accessibility for studies conducted by students, staff and external researchers; coordinating the day-to-day running of the clinic, including training and supervising students in placement; and contributing to the clinical governance and strategic development of the research clinic.
