Grundfos are looking for a Project Manager to join the UK Water Utilities delivery team, located in a commutable distance to our Leighton Buzzard office.

What is the role all about?

As one of our Water Utilities Project Managers, your primary role will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered safely on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving aproject’s organization and timeline.

Specific project manager responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation and delivering every project on time within budget and scope.

Other responsibilities include:

- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project reports
- Maintain monthly summary dashboard reporting for each project on the Grundfos PMO system.
- Maintain customer project reporting in line with the purchase orders, contracts, sub-contracts and expectations as set out in customer terms and conditions.

What skills and experience should you have?

We would expect you to have experience in business management, budgeting and analysis. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. You are a team player and have a problem-solving attitude and are happy working to tightdeadlines.
- Proven working experience as a project manager
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical installation.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Smart sheets Project or Excel in addition to SAP PS Module.
- PMP / PRINCE II certification is advantageous
- Ideally qualified to HNC or demonstrable equivalent either academically or vocationally, in either of the CMEICA based disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and / or Instrumentation, Control and Automation.
- Project Health & Safety Experience, with site supervision qualifications (SSSTS or SMSTS) and ideally IOSH Managing Safely
- Awareness of project contracts and contract law
