**KEY RESPONSIBILTIES**
As Senior Subtitle Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end handling of quality control for subtitles in various languages. This will include preliminary error checks, full technical QC and final post-processing. Projects usually involve multiple languages and versions, shared among the team, so there is a lot of collaboration, even while you focus on your own particular tasks. In addition, senior status comes with an expectation that you will contribute to training junior staff, demonstrating best practice and generating and updating departmental documentation. You may also take ownership of individual projects delegated to you by the relevant manager.

The Subtitling team works closely with other departments at EIKON and opportunities often arise to be involved in new projects which expand the scope of our subtitling work. We’re constantly developing new techniques and workflows, so are looking for people with the desire and ability to learn new software, concepts, and processes, both currently and going forward. **MAIN DUTIES**
- Creating and handling subtitle language version projects for Theatrical, Home Entertainment & VOD platforms
- Reviewing subtitle files in various languages against video for quality control, editing and error reporting
- Checking updated versions and tracking required changes
- Exporting reports, proofs and final files for delivery internally and externally
- Problem solving language
- and workflow-related issues
- Liaising and collaborating with internal departments
- Providing training to new starters and to existing staff as requirements and processes evolve
- Contributing to internal knowledge base and documentation of subtitling processes
- Overseeing and coordinating work on designated subtitle projects for theatrical feature, short form and on-demand content

**SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES**
- Extensive hands-on subtitling experience in either the feature film, streaming or broadcast industries
- Excellent knowledge of subtitling processes, requirements and tools
- A good knowledge of post-production processes
- Confidence to communicate effectively and diplomatically to colleagues at all levels
- Ability to work independently using own initiative, but also be aware of and support the wider team's needs
- Superlative attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus
- Organized, adaptable and quick to react to shifting priorities
- An ability to handle high-pressure situations and sensitive information
- A positive and mature attitude to hard work
- An affinity for picking up new processes and software
- A passion for film, TV and post-production
- Must be able to work flexible hours during busy periods

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- BA Hons Degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in subtitling
- Professional level fluency in English and familiarity with other languages
- Strong IT literacy
