Design and Development (D&D) is the product development centre allowing us to undertake true product development projects on behalf of our customers across a wide range of sectors from IoT to Medical, Aerospace & Defence and Automotive.

These range from early concept through to design for manufacture (DFM) and ultimately volume production.STI is a specialist Contract Electronics Manufacturer in which D&D enables the creation of new products to be seamlessly transitioned into our world-classproduction lines for PCBA and system level assembly.

We currently have a very exciting opportunity as a **Senior Business Manager** who will be responsible for developing new channels of product development and manufacturing opportunities within IoT, Industrial and Aerospace and Defence, developrelationships with new and existing customers, partners, and suppliers, form collaborations and partnerships and develop the proposals and commercial proposition to win business.

This will be working for the Engineering Manager who is a Chartered Engineer. They have worked in many different industries and has over 18 years’ experience of being a manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work for someone with a dynamic approachto leadership with exciting opportunities ahead.

**The Senior Business Manager role will involve**:

- Generating new sales leads for D&D Services and/or products in IoT, Industrial and Aerospace & Defence
- Develop key customer, supplier and partner relationships
- Developing proposals and commercial propositions
- Ensure the proposal for the work is scoped and costed correctly in terms of time and budget
- Presenting these solutions to existing and potential customers
- Supporting and attending exhibitions and events
- Managing the annual forecast
- Resolve issues relating to on cost, on time, on quality delivery of the project
- Working with team leads on resourcing needed for projects
- Ensure that project plans are baselined and fully resourced
- Ensure that the D&D processes are being followed rigorously throughout projects
- Define project metrics and ensure accurate reporting

**For this role you will need**:

- Experience in the technology sector
- Experience in developing commercial propositions
- Experience in developing compelling customer proposals
- Demonstrable experience in managing engineering projects and teams
- Experience of working within a D&D environment
- Experience communicating with customers about project information and key milestones
- Experience of planning project timelines in accordance with engineering and manufacturing teams’ input and processes

It is very important that you prioritise work since this role involves working with multiple projects at a time.

You will need Excellent knowledge of MS Office and MS Project. You will also need excellent knowledge of change management principles.

This role is **Hybrid Remote** and can be at our sites in **Hook, Hampshire or Poynton, Stockport**.
