- Developing the company’s production process to become leaner and more efficient leasing with all departments to create new production processes
- Develop and recommend short, medium
- and long-term goals and objectives for lean manufacturing
- Develop design for manufacture, delivering continuous and sustainable improvement to the manufacturing process working from 3D models and 2D drawings
- Contribute to enable maximum labour and workflow efficiencies
- Articulate improvement strategies and project plans to gain buy in from stakeholders
- Analyse and plan work force utilisation, space requirement and workflow, layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Create formal investment project proposals for purchase of equipment, modifications, and facility improvements, justifying costs
- Use effective diagnostic and evaluation tools, consolidation methods and analytical investigations towards continual improvement
- Provide a cohesive link between Operations and R&D functions, contributing to new product innovation and introduction in relation to design for manufacture
- Ensure all production lines are constant to the highest standards and value is added from capital investment projects
- Working with shop floor supervision, personnel, and service departments to ensure processes are conducted to the required quality, cost, and delivery levels

**Beneficial Skills / Qualifications**:

- Relevant qualifications in Production Engineering
- Extensive experience in a production engineering or related field.
- Significant and proven experience of effective project management, planning and implementation.
- Broad technical experience with good working knowledge of other disciplines
- Knowledge of quality management systems and processes.In depth understanding of lean manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Project Management skills, Health, and Safety knowledge.
- Knowledge and understanding of regulations and standards.Strong analytical skills.
- Working experience ideally with 2D / 3D AutoCAD / Solidworks
- Ability to travel to other sites occasionally
