**Job Overview**:
The role holder will develop and maintain systems to improve the flow of production and to provide analyses of sales performance, production performance. Close liaison with the Production Management team and sales team, and Senior Management, is an essentialpart of the role.

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Analyse sales forecast changes and liaises with Production Manager to identify issues for production floor.
- Generate production schedules and raw material requirements.
- Release production work orders to Manufacturing in a timely manner, allowing sufficient time for scheduling to take place.
- Maintain work centre schedules to ensure proper job scheduling and capacity limitations are understood and communicated when necessary.
- Analyse sales performance and establish Production and QC priorities.
- Develop planning processes to streamline manual development MRP planning systems.
- Provide guidance and training to lower-level Production Planners specifically on new techniques or process changes.
- Handle production control issues or concerns within the department.

**Beneficial Skills / Qualifications**:

- Highly Organised
- Experience of very fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment,
- Production engineering qualification
- Strong work ethic are the main criteria for this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Demand Planning and forecasting.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Navision or equivalent software.

**Additional Information**:

- Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
