**Salary**:£21,060 per annum
**Location**: 608 Vet Practice, travel to all three branches required.
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week (would consider part-time)
**This role is to cover staff absences, so flexibility is necessary.**
Short-notice changes are likely due to the sickness-cover element, and convenient access/transport to all of our sites is essential.
37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri, with up to 1:4 weekends per calendar month either as additional hours or from weekly 37.5 total.

Solihull Hospital - 608 Warwick Road B91 1AA
Bentley Heath - 108 Widney Road B93 9BL
Acocks Green - 139 Westley Road B27 7UW
**Your role**
Our reception team are the first point of contact for our clients and are therefore responsible for representing the business in a professional manner and for giving our clients confidence in our care.
Our reception team face a huge spectrum of queries, from the routine to the downright bizarre, and no two days are ever the same, it's not always about knowing the answer; it's about finding the answer and following through with a resolution for every enquiry.
Successful applicants will have strong problem-solving skills and be able to think outside of the box whilst operating within the rules set by various governing bodies, including the Royal College of Veterinary Standards.
It is the responsibility of our Receptionists to help our clients navigate their potentially complicated and emotional journeys with us. From routine administration (including logístical, financial, and meditative) to more sensitive conversations, proficiency in face-to-face, telephone, and written communication is key. Our team are people-oriented with a strong love of animals, and the ability to adapt communication styles to best suit their recipients is essential.
Veterinary industry experience is not crucial; However, the steep learning curve will make it a definite bonus. Other valuable experience can be drawn from customer service roles and administrative positions in the healthcare sector.
Other skills and characteristics of successful applicants will include computer literacy, patience, multi-tasking, and proactivity.
