**Your role**:
We are looking for a Senior Policy and Partnerships Officer to join the Police, Fire, Crime and Criminal Justice team at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

This is an exciting role that supports the Mayor and Deputy Mayor who are responsible for for making the police and fire services accountable to the people of Greater Manchester.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering on key policing and community safety policies, partnerships and projects as outlined in the Greater Manchester Police and Crime Plan ‘Standing Together’. This includes in areas such as safer travel, hate crime and street safety.

You will also support work to tackle inequalities within policing and crime as well as assisting the development of Community Safety Partnerships.

Through project development and oversight and the production of high-quality reports, briefings and letters, the role also supports the Mayor and Deputy Mayor in ensuring that continual improvements are made within policing.

This is a challenging but exciting time to join our team, we have an ambitious agenda and have recently received further investment in our programmes of work. Some key initiatives that we are delivering include: Gender Based Violence Strategy, Health & Justice Strategy, the Safer Streets Fund, Programme Challenger, and Violence Reduction Unit. You will work closely alongside other Senior Policy and Partnership Officers in the team to ensure that we drive forward these wider work areas and objectives.

We are looking for someone who will be proactive in developing productive relationships with stakeholders in policing, fire, community safety and within the wider Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

You should have experience of policy development and strategy implementation, be an influential and persuasive communicator, have experience of managing projects or commissioning services, have excellent written skills and have a good sense of political awareness.

You should be passionate about people and victims and committed to the equality of opportunity for all. You will show compassion and have what it takes to work under pressure on high profile areas.
