We are looking for a Philanthropy Officer to join our friendly and welcoming team here at Hft for a permanent role. This is an exciting time to join Hft, with a number of large, innovative projects on the horizon, it's your chance to make a real difference to people's lives.
What will you be doing?
A key member of the Philanthropy team, you will be supporting the development and growth of a successful major donor fundraising programme at Hft. We have ambitious plans to increase the role of philanthropy to support capital development and Hft’s core work programmes.
You will identify and engage with high net worth individuals (HNWIs) to generate significant funds to support Hft’s vital work with people with learning disabilities. You will be responsible for the stewardship of existing relationships with HNWIs to achieve income targets and meet agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
An essential requirement of the role is to build successful relationships with HNWIs, building on existing networks as well as developing new ones. You will identify potential supporters and develop cultivation plans to successfully engage them with Hft.
Working with the Philanthropy Manager, you will manage relationships through the whole stewardship cycle, involving Hft’s leadership group, Trustees, Development Patrons and other key influencers as appropriate. The position sits within the Partnerships and Philanthropy Team within the Fundraising department and the post holder will work closely with our Trust, Corporate and Community fundraisers. The role will have a national scope.
