Korea Foods Company is the largest importer of Korean food in Europe. Established in 1999, we are a family-run business and operate out of its Head Office in New Malden, Surrey. With a sales turnover of over £40 million, we employ around 270 members of staff, including office staff, warehouse, drivers, and retail staff in 11 retail outlets. Year on year growth is around 15% and continues to grow at this rate during 2021.

**Main Purpose & Scope of the Job**:
Reporting to the Assistant Manager of the Inventory Department, you will be responsible for managing all inventory control related activities.

You will execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and maximises stock system and paperwork accuracy, whilst working with other departments and necessary external contacts to ensure functions are carried out correctly and accurately.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations;
- Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks;
- Minimise overstocks and reduce wastage;
- Ensure that goods inward / stock control / inventory department is well organised and controlled so to support the goals and strategy of the business;
- Ensure incoming product is receipted into SAP and managed appropriately according to company procedure;
- Write & maintain accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions;
- Be responsible for managing & running planned stock takes together with the warehouse manager;
- Perform cyclic stock checks;
- Provide routine management information on inventory performance;
- Goods receiving / Stock level adjustment / Short date goods report;
- Ensure returned goods (AP return issuing) update in SAP;
- Ensure the stock transfer transaction between warehouse;
- SAP stock inquiry handling;
- SAP bin control;
- SAP no stock control;
- Weekly to make short date goods report;
- Know how much stock in terms of quantity and value do we hold in our warehouses;
- Liaise with sales and other company departments to push stock out or to control incoming stock;
- Monitor goods in and out procedures, enforce related company policies;
- Optimise stock in warehouses, set maximum and minimum levels;
- Maintain product database in SAP managing UOMs and barcodes in particular;
- Any other reasonable management request.

**Person Specification**:

- Ideally possessing a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in inventory management;
- Have a detailed understanding of inventory control / management systems;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Experience of lean methodologies would be an advantage;
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment;
- Excellent personal organisation and business administration skills;
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales whilst maintaining attention to quality & detail;
- Be proficient in IT - using Microsoft Office Excel, Word &PowerPoint;
- Experience of SAP B1 release 9 would be advantageous.

**The KPIs**:

- Minimise overstocks and reduce wastage;
- Ensure that goods inward / stock control / inventory department is well organised and controlled;
- Ensure incoming product is receipted into SAP and managed;
- Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks.
