The Academic Programmes Office (APO) is a large vibrant and dynamic professional service support team at IOE. The APO provides student and programme support for all accredited academic programmes, (undergraduate, post graduate and teacher training) as well as for all research student activity.

**About the role**:
You will be responsible for the Placements and Partnerships activity for the Initial Teacher Education (ITE) learning and teaching programmes at the Institute of Education. ITE placements are defined by the DfE regulations, which in the main mean that each PGCE student teacher spends 120 days on placement, this means that there are specific deadlines throughout the academic year from early September to late July. The IOE currently trains over 800 PGCE student teachers every year.

The ITE Placements and Partnerships team administers all placements-related data (school-college-setting information, mentors, placements, payments, and related training) using the InPlace system, MS Office apps inc Excel, mapping systems eg Google maps, SITS-Portico, and MyFinance, and external apps such as Docusign and Eventbrite).

The team works proactively with the PGCE academics on student placement allocations to ensure that student teachers are allocated to appropriate timely placements in partner schools.

You will deliver a high quality administrative service to students, colleagues and partners working in collaboration with academic and professional colleagues from across the Institute alongside partnership colleagues.

**About you**:
You will have experience of working in a busy office environment with excellent administration skills and an organised and flexible approach to work with excellent record keeping skills and the ability to conduct analyses using spreadsheets and databases.
