**Summary**
Baxter are currently looking to recruit a Renal Therapy Specialist to be a champion for the preferred patient pathway, promoting to healthcare professionals that all dialysis patients are able to access the right therapy at the right time according to individual patient needs and circumstances. Renal Therapy Specialists work together with healthcare professionals within Renal Units from across the region to drive clinical practice efficiencies and effectiveness.
You will be responsible for the planning, delivery and promotion of focused high quality clinical education initiatives on home therapies for health care professionals to improve patient care and drive business located within the South East and L territory.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Promoting Baxter Renal as a provider of renal replacement therapies across whole patient pathway
- Promoting the preferred patient pathway to healthcare professionals using up to date evidence for the right therapy in the right place at the right time
- Demonstrating and training customers about Baxter Renal therapies, products and services effectively and constructively through an evidence based approach.
Implement identified therapy and product marketing campaigns/activities.
- Supporting Baxter Renal customers to evaluate and use of the Company’s products and services
Providing educational support to customers through formal study days and teaching packages in line with Medical Affairs and the therapy and clinical development teams
- Facilitate peer to peer networking opportunities across the region for renal unit staff, to encourage benchmarking against best demonstrated evidence based practice.
- Contacting the full range of customers and other external stakeholders (e.g. clinical staff & technical personnel) on a regular and frequent basis
- Maintaining up to date customer records though effective and timely use of CRM
- Seeking, forwarding and utilising timely and accurate market intelligence/information that assists in development of the strategic plan
Attend exhibitions/conferences in order to network, update clinical knowledge and to represent Baxter Renal
- Make time to read journals and relevant clinical papers
- Work closely with the Marketing Team, therapy and clinical development team and Medical Affairs to identify and develop Key Opinion Leaders in all therapy areas both regionally and nationally
- Liaising and communicating with other Baxter departments/business units to achieve Company objectives
Ensuring adherence to relevant Company protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, ABPI Code of Practice and Nursing & Midwifery Council Code of Conduct
- Maintaining all Company assets in good condition
**Qualifications**
- Experience teaching and educational processes required
- Bachelor’s science degree, Nursing degree or equivalent required
- Clinical experience in Nephrology an advantage
- Commercial experience is desirable
- ABPI qualification; or ability to study towards this within 12 months of being in role
**Key Skills and Experience**
- Have proven ability and track record in collaboration and teamwork to help to build targeted and effective account plans to drive results as a member of the Regional Business Team
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to support the implementation and maintenance of clinical best practice within renal dialysis therapies both internally within Baxter and externally within the NHS
