We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of a passionate team at Dunham Massey. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative Communications and Marketing Officer to support the delivery of promotional activity using internal and external channels. You could be writing seasonal copy to encourage visitors to enjoy the gardens, posting engaging social media stories about nature conservation, or helping to deliver marketing campaigns for programming and events.

**Hours**:Part time 22.5 hours over 3 days per week with flexibility around working times and days, though some evening and weekend working may be required.

**Salary**:FTE £23,556pa Actual £14,133pa

**Contract**:Fixed term until January 2026

What it's like to work here:In this role you'll work alongside the Senior Communications & Marketing Officer and occasionally a small group of photography volunteers.

Dunham Massey is a 3,000-acre estate with a deer park, house and garden at its centre and has been cared for by the National Trust since 1976 when it was donated to the charity by Roger Grey, 10th Earl of Stamford. Dunham Massey is situated on the border of Greater Manchester and Cheshire and is one of the most visited places in the National Trust with over 700,000 visitors a year.

Dunham Massey is a Treasure House and Children and Young Person Hub. This means it is a busy property that connects with national projects and delivers locally with the ambition to support conservation, partnerships and quality visitor experience for the future.

What you'll be doing:You’ll be part of a two person communications and marketing team and report to the Senior Communications and Marketing Officer. The role collaborates with all departments at Dunham Massey and there’ll be opportunity work across the majority of marketing and communication channels, from onsite marketing to external PR and advertising.

The ultimate aim is to ensure high-quality and consistent promotion of Dunham Massey, with consideration for current and new audiences with our ‘for everyone, for ever’ motto in mind.

**Who we're looking forTo be successful in this role, you might have the following awareness or experience:
- Understanding of the aims and ethos of the National Trust.
- The ability to write with confidence and clarity in line with brand writing guidance.
- Great organisational and planning skills, including setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
- The ability to build strong, collaborative relationships, both internally and externally.
- Previous experience in a marketing and/or communications role would be advantageous.
- Strong IT skills - Microsoft Office.
- Experience of working with and supervising volunteers.
