Interim Accountant | £350-£400 a day | Kent | Hybrid / Home Working

The business will consider someone on a home working basis but the preference would be for someone who can commute to the Kent offices once a week (or more if preferred).

Reporting into the Head of Finance and supporting the wider finance function in both the UK and internationally, this individual will cover the following responsibilities:

- To undertake the preparation and reporting of the statutory financial accounts and associated information for all group companies (c20 sets of accounts), ensuring this is undertaken on an accurate and timely basis, in compliance with UK and internationallegislation, rules and policies as appropriate
- To prepare and submit the monthly consolidated accounts for the Group companies and management reporting packs to the agreed timetables
- To submit the Annual Budget, Plans and/or Forecasts to the Group having assisted in their preparation
- To assess alternative accounting treatments where these exist, and explain the financial impact and the pros and cons of the alternatives
- To liaise with external auditors and international finance teams as required on both technical and interpretation issues, providing meaningful commentary on results
- To prepare and submit the corporation tax returns for all UK companies
- To manage and monitor the Group’s capital expenditure and capital budgeting
- To draft accounting papers for internal use when requested
