Digital Records Officer

We are seeking Digital Records Officers to provide comprehensive, high quality health records service to support the clinical requirements of the Trust to appropriate timescales and departmental policies, procedures, legislation, good practice and other relevant guidelines.
To prioritise duties to meet the changing and conflicting demands of the service, ensuring patient records are prepared and scanned to a high standard.
To maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
To be deployed on any section within the Digital Records department to carry out the duties required by that section as directed by the Digital Records Team Leader and Digital Records Manager.
- To index (coversheet), prepare or scan patient records into the Electronic Document Repository Management System (Evolve) following strict departmental policy, procedure and guidelines.
- To ensure that all records are available on Evolve for clinic approximately 2 days prior to appointment dates.
- To print form packs and labels in advance of outpatient clinics.
- To prioritise duties to meet the changing and conflicting demands of the Trust, rescheduling tasks as necessary.
- To liaise with clinic staff, directly and by telephone.
- To ‘weed’ patient records according to local procedure updating the Trust’s Lorenzo (Ipswich), Careflow (Colchester) or Evolve computer systems as required.
- To adhere to Trust and departmental Health and Safety policies and procedures with regard to moving and handling of patient records.
