We are working with a Global Manufacturing company based in Hampshire who is seeking a Design Manager who can manage a team of 4 Design Engineers and Testing.Laboratory Technicians.As Design Engineer you will not only manage your team you will also beinvolved in your own key projects for key clients of the business. This will involve some visitis to clients so must be prepared to travel and have strong customer facing communication skills.

As Design Manager you will be involved in:
Existing Product Review
- Reviewing existing products, raising improvements and working with production to implement design changes.

Production Support
- Assist Production with live production issues, related to operational parameter, tolerance and design matters.

Laboratory
- Oversee the work of the Design Laboratory (UK) and Test Laboratory (China)

Compliance
- Ensure capability of designs are suited for relevant Standards and Markings on Albright products, and ensure that all related test and documentation is in place.This aspect includes both compliance to product performance Standardsand material

Responsibiities:

- Keep senior managers well informed of status of development effort
- Work on personal design projects
- Contribute to collegues design projects
- Liaise between development staff and production team
- Liaise between development team and customer
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in an accurate and timely fashion

Expereince Required:

- Project Management - both as part of a team and individual - through the complete Design and Product lifecycle
- Understanding of CAD systems - be aware of capabilities/limitations
