Within this challenging role, you will report to the Operations Supervisor, assisting with the allocation of work, ensuring resources are utilised effectively and efficiently to meet KPI’s.
**Your role**
- You will ensure that pre-shift inspections are completed to a satisfactory standard, documenting and reporting any faults in a timely manner.
- You will be required to complete accident reports and all other documentation including daily timesheets as well as assisting the Supervisor with organising the workforce.
- You will be involved in performing daily tasks such as directing / leading the teams in tasks such as the discharge and loading of vehicle from and to vessels and also pulling from stock for load-building,
- You will support in ensuring sufficient resources are requested to manage the projected workloads.
- You will ensure that all company policies, procedures and standards are strictly adhered to whilst maintaining a high standard of Health and Safety including carrying out risk assessments and delivering safe systems of work and tool box talks.
**Your profile**
- As a working Team Leader, you must be experienced in the Vehicle Movements operation.
- You will have excellent IT skills in order to compile statistics and reports using Microsoft programmes including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- You will have high attention to detail and be able to work on your own initiative as well as being part of a team.
- You will have effective organisation skills and have previous experience in leading a team.
