Head of Quality and Compliance

The role will have responsibility for leading the business strategic approach and maintaining relevant industry regulations, driving improvements and metrics across key indicators to ensure the business understands and meets its compliance obligations for UnipartLogistics, the client and other related regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating containment / improvement activities, on behalf of Unipart, with the relevant external bodies in the event a major non-conformance occurs.
**Your key responsibilities will be linked to the following areas**:

- Quality strategy
- Quality systems
- Compliance
- Premises and equipment
- Operations
- Transport
- Risk management
- Managing 3rd party contractors / suppliers
- Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA)
- Self-inspection / auditing
- Change control
- Complaints, returns, non-compliant products and product recalls

**Head of Quality and Compliance Requirements:**
Education and Experience:

- Extensive experience of working in quality and compliance within the aviation industry
- In depth knowledge of working in the aviation supply chain from Inbound delivery to lineside point of fit
- Equipped with degree level and related professional qualifications
- Practical experience of handling, storage and distribution of aviation products/services.
- Strong understanding and experience of implementing and maintaining quality management systems.
- Experience in successfully dealing with external regulatory bodies
- Experience in hosting external audits and regulatory inspections
- Good working knowledge of effective quality documentation systems
- Qualified lead in ISO9001:2015 and the EN 9100 series of international standards

**Essential Skills and Abilities:**:

- A robust understanding of Risk Management within a quality and compliance environment
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver clear communications and foster excellent working relationships with peers and senior management teams
- Operate with credibility and professionalism, internally and externally (client and regulatory bodies)
- Analytical mind with strong root cause problem-solving capabilities using a structured methodology (8D, 9S)
- Good team player and works well in cross-functional teams
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Good time management skills
- Concise and persuasive in the description of the different QA situations
- Works with a spirit of continuous improvement and innovation, creatively open to new ideas and methods
- Flexible thinking and able to challenge and see views from different perspectives
- Ability to self-motivate and be resilient and focused
- Strong general computer literacy with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Google product equivalents (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides, Sites)

**Location**: Broughton, Cheshire
**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full Time, 40 per week
**Salary**: £65,000 plus depending upon experience, plus car / car allowance
