We are looking for a Branch Administrator to join Samaritans Leeds. You’ll undertake management and administrative tasks for Samaritans Leeds to function as an effective and efficient branch, in line with the Samaritans’ Operating Agreement, and for the building at 93 Clarendon Road to be a safe, comfortable, welcoming, and fit-for-purpose environment from which Samaritans volunteers can fulfil their contribution to the charity.

**The Role**

This is critical, hands-on role which supports the charity and the volunteers in branch to be efficient. It is a varied and rewarding role, no two days will be the same. Based in branch, you’ll be someone who is happy to work independently and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and support with a variety of tasks, in order to support what the branch needs.

You’ll support volunteers throughout their volunteer lifecycle, from initial query, onboarding, training and then support them if they decide to leave the branch. You’ll speak with a wide variety of people each day, including speaking to perspective volunteers who are interested in becoming a volunteer.

**The Person**
- A confident and clear communicator - Can communicate clearly and succinctly both in writing and verbally, desirable experience of using digital tools
- Able to manage a small budget - responsible for ordering items against budget, working with the Branch Treasurer
- Hands on and adaptable to change
- Emotionally intelligent - you may occasionally meet with our service users/ callers in branch
- IT Literate - Comfortable with standard office automation tools and able to readily adapt to bespoke Samaritans IT Systems
- Initiative - Able to work in self-directed manner and operate on own initiative
- Interpersonal Skills - Capable of quickly developing trust and confidence with a wide range of volunteers and other stakeholders Housekeeping - Will ensure the smooth running of the branch which includes problem solving and co-ordinating maintenance and repair activities

**Location**

This role will be based within branch with occasional working from home. The current post holder works 2/3 days per week. We can be flexible in how the 14 hours are worked across the week (the work pattern), we will discuss this with you, if you reach interview stage.
