A number of opportunities have arisen for a Regional Researcher on a full-time permanent basis. Come and be part of a progressive and dedicated team; EMSOU Regional Intelligence Unit is one of the largest collaborative units of its kind in the country, with over 1000 employees, the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) delivers specialist capabilities on behalf of the five forces - Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
EMSOU is made up of teams dealing with Counter Terrorism, Regional Organised Crime, Major Crime, Forensic Services, Legal Services and a Regional Review Unit.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Researching and collating information to support intelligence and analytical work when required, within appropriate legislation to meet the priorities and objectives of the regional intelligence unit.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that audits and reviews of information are completed and compliant with Record Review, Retention and Deletion requirements of the ACPO Code of Practice on the Management of Police Information.
- To interrogate computerised information systems as required, obtaining information and intelligence.
**The must haves**
- You must hold a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above including English and Math’s or to have equivalent work-based experience.
- Experience of data collection or proven research skills in a statistical or information-based environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised in a high-pressure environment and be able to plan and prioritise individual workload.

- For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
- This is a full-time, permanent role. **Salary: Grade 5 (£25,758 - £27,690)**:
- Due to MV/SC vetting requirements, you must have a minimum of 5 years continuous UK residency to be eligible to apply.
