You will join a high performing team to support the Young People Quality of Education across the consortium. You will work with other Quality Managers to implement the Quality Assurance Framework, striving to establish a culture where everyone understands the importance of quality performance and monitoring.

**Key qualification, skills and experience**
- Experience of leading Quality assurance in the education and training sector.
- Working knowledge and experience of:
Ofsted Education Inspection Framework for Young People provision.

Prevent Duty & Safeguarding legislation.

Curriculum best practices
- Worked in quality assurance for at least a year
- Hold teaching qualifications

Step into Learning are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners and expects their employees to share this commitment. The postholder will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), taking lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection (including online safety).
- To delegate relevant tasks as prescribed as the DSL to appropriate trained deputies but ensure that the lead responsibility remains with themselves and should **not** be delegated.
- To refer cases of suspected abuse to local authority children’s social care or adult safeguarding team as required.
- To refer cases to the Channel Programme where there is a radicalisation concern as required.
- To refer cases where a person is dismissed or left due to risk/harm to a child or vulnerable adult to the Disclosure and Barring Service as required.
- To refer cases where a crime may have been committed to the Police as required.
- To keep detailed, accurate, secure written records of concerns and referrals (including electronic documents).
- To support staff who make referrals to local authority children’s social care or adult safeguarding team and Channel programme.
- To undergo regular appropriate DSL training (updated every two years).
- To ensure that Step into Learning safeguarding and welfare policies and procedures are known, understood, and used appropriately with all staff, especially new and part time staff.

**Salary**: Up to £30,000.00 per year
